Man arrested in connection to 2 unprovoked batteries at Haas School of Business

A female UC Berkeley student and male faculty member were the victims of two unprovoked batteries at the Haas School of Business on Aug. 31, according to a Nixle alert issued Wednesday.

About 2:45 p.m., a male suspect reportedly threw a chair at the student and struck her legs, according to the alert. The suspect then allegedly punched the male faculty member in the face. Neither victim was seriously injured, the alert said.

UCPD arrested Adam Johnson in connection to these incidents on the day they occurred, according to UCPD spokesperson Sgt. Nicolas Hernandez.

UCPD is asking anyone with information to call (510) 642-6760.
