89-year-old missing woman found by Alameda County police

Alameda County police found Evelyn Fisher, who was reported missing Thursday, sometime Friday morning, according to Berkeley Police Department Lt. Peter Hong. She was found at Highland Hospital in Oakland, according to Fisher’s granddaughter Katharine Fisher.

Berkeley Police Department sent a Nixle alert about 10:45 p.m. Thursday asking for help locating a missing person.

The alert identified the missing person as Evelyn Fisher and described her as an 89-year-old woman who is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. She had last been seen at 2 p.m. at the 300 block of Arlington Avenue on Thursday and had been wearing a blue sweater and white pants, according to the alert. The alert said BPD was also looking for an associated vehicle — a tan Saturn car with the license plate number 5PPD350.
