In a since-deleted post on his Instagram story, Cal junior receiver Jordan Duncan announced that he has had surgery to address an undisclosed injury. Last weekend, Duncan left Cal’s 24-17 loss to Arizona in the second half.
Duncan currently leads the Bears offense with three touchdown receptions, including two against Idaho State on Sept. 15. He is third on the team in receiving yards with 175 and has averaged a robust 12.5 yards per catch.
Last season, Duncan recorded 10 catches for 120 yards, catching a touchdown pass in Cal’s opening win on the road against UNC. With Duncan likely sidelined for the foreseeable future, transfer Moe Ways is expected to get the start Saturday against UCLA. Ways caught eight passes for a career-high 94 yards against the Wildcats.
