Updated 10/14/18: This article has been updated to reflect new information from an AC Alert.

A PG&E shut-off has been canceled, according to an AC Alert released Sunday afternoon.

The alert said the shut-off is canceled because Alameda County is no longer on weather watch. No further actions are required, according to the alert.

An AC alert — released Saturday about 9:36 p.m. — said if power is shut off proactively, it could remain down until Sunday morning. It is more likely that customers may lose power Sunday evening in the wake of a “wind event,” according to the alert.

“(PG&E) know how much customers rely on electric service and would only consider temporarily turning off power in the interest of safety, and as a last resort during extreme weather conditions,” said the alert released Saturday.
