Episode #3: Satire in Space

In episode three, Charlie and Jackson discuss texts that criticize fascist and totalitarian regimes through the combination of science fiction and satire. The texts discussed are Lao She’s 1932 novel, “Cat Country” and Paul Verhoven’s 1997 film, “Starship Troopers.” Special guests include UC Berkeley student and TBD Comedy member Lena Gavenas and an extraterrestrial by the name of King’s Cross (portrayed by Trevor Hazen).
