With unhealthy air quality levels persisting throughout Berkeley, Cal Athletics announced that the women’s basketball game between the Bears and the Pacific Tigers on Nov. 18 will be relocated to Maples Pavilion at Stanford University.

“The game at Maples will be free for all fans and tickets previously purchased to the game in Berkeley can be exchanged for a ticket to another game or equal or lesser value,” Cal Athletics said in a statement. “Concessions will not be available on site at Maples, though fans may bring in their own food and beverage.”

As was the case for the game originally scheduled to take place in Berkeley, Cal and Pacific will tip off at 2 p.m. PT, though the programs will make the trek down to the Peninsula and play on Stanford’s home court.

The decision to move the contest comes two days after Chancellor Carol Christ canceled classes Thursday evening and all day Friday. The announcement also comes a day after Athletic Director Jim Knowlton announced the postponement of the 121st Big Game from Nov. 17 to Dec. 1.
