Berkeley police arrest 3 in connection to strong arm robbery

Three male suspects stole a victim’s shoulder bag and two shopping bags near UC Berkeley’s campus Friday evening, according to a Nixle alert issued Saturday evening.

About 7:30 p.m., the suspects fled northbound through campus after stealing the victim’s bags, according to the alert. The stolen bags were later recovered on Lower Sproul Plaza, and the suspects were arrested in San Francisco.

As of press time, the victim is unknown. Berkeley Police Department is asking anyone with information about this crime to call (510) 981-5900.
