UCPD received reports of several “inappropriate” flyers being sent to campus printers Monday morning, according to UCPD spokesperson Sgt. Nicolas Hernandez.

At 9:47 a.m. Monday, UCPD received notice of a suspicious event in which flyers were sent to campus printers in various locations, including in Morgan Hall.

“This has happened in the past — it looks like it’s happening again,” Hernandez said. “UCPD has responded to the reports and has started a log of what is going on.”

A similar incident occurred in January 2017, during which anti-Semitic and homophobic messages were printed to multiple campus departments, including the East Asian studies department.

UCPD is currently working with UC Berkeley Information Services and Technology to investigate the incident, according to Hernandez, who added that he did not know the exact content of the flyers.

The incident is currently under investigation.
