A UC Berkeley student was the victim of an alleged robbery Monday night near the intersection of Le Roy Avenue and Le Conte Avenue, according to a UCPD Nixle alert sent Tuesday morning.

Approximately 10:11 p.m. Monday, a car stopped in the middle of the intersection next to the female victim, and two male suspects got out of the car and allegedly approached the victim, according to the alert. One suspect allegedly attempted to grab the victim, but the victim dropped her backpack and ran away, according to the alert.

The two suspects got back into the car and fled the scene northbound, the alert said. The Berkeley Police Department searched the area but could not find the suspects or their car, according to the alert.

The suspects were described as two men between the ages of 18 and 25, approximately 5 feet 10 inches and wearing dark clothing, according to BPD spokesperson Officer Byron White.
