Four suspected robbery and burglary crimes occurred in Berkeley within a four-day time frame, as reported by Berkeley Police Department in a Nixle alert released Thursday.

The first incident, a street robbery, occurred on the evening of Dec. 10, when three men allegedly robbed two elderly women on the 2300 block of Ward Street, according to the alert. The three suspects allegedly attempted to grab the women’s purses, and when the victims held on to their belongings, the men started to punch them, pushing one of them to the ground. The suspects ran away with one of the purses.

The alert said one of the the two victims, aged 65, was treated at the scene for minor injuries to her face. The other had to be transported to a local hospital for cuts on her face and hands, as well as pain in her torso.

On Dec. 12 at 5:38 p.m., officers detained two men from Oakland — 19-year-old Parrish Kendricks and 22-year-old Otis Andrews — on suspicion of attempted auto burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of burglary tools. Officers had allegedly seen Kendricks shine a flashlight into multiple vehicles parked on Ward Street.

The following morning about 4:30 a.m., officers responded to an activated alarm from Apple and Mac Solutions on Ninth Street and found the front glass door smashed in. According to the alert, several computers were stolen from the location.

That evening, Dec. 13 at 9:15 p.m., four men allegedly robbed a woman of her phone on the corner of Shattuck Avenue and Center Street. When the victim resisted, the suspects allegedly started punching her and ran away.
