Berkeley police arrested two women on suspicion of identity theft and other related crimes after finding more than 100 pieces of U.S. mail allegedly taken from more than 10 households in their vehicle, according to a Thursday Nixle alert.

The alert said the suspects are 43-year-old Iiesha Kniekura Moore, from Oakland, and 50-year-old Trena Maria Wilson.

A resident of the 1900 block of Haste Street had called BPD on the evening of Dec. 17, reporting that a suspect had pried open their mailbox and stolen their mail. Based on the description from the resident, officers detained Moore and Wilson and reportedly found additional mail in their car.
