2 reports of gunfire in South Berkeley in 2 days; no reported injuries

Berkeley Police Department received two reports of gunfire in South Berkeley this past weekend, according to a Nixle alert released Tuesday afternoon.

About 2:23 a.m. Saturday, BPD received reports of gunfire in the area of King and 62nd streets. Officers responded to the area and located bullet casings on the 1600 block of 62nd Street but didn’t find any injured individuals, the alert said.

The next day, officers responded to the area of San Pablo Park about 8:47 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. While officers discovered bullet casings at the park, they didn’t locate any injured people, according to the alert.
