At last Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, or SAG Awards, the entertainment industry’s best creatives were awarded for their hard work in last year’s films and television shows. Clearly, their creativity extends outside of their acting work — the actors and actresses donned surprising and stylish looks on the red carpet. Here is The Daily Californian’s guide to the best-dressed celebrities at the SAG Awards.

Yara Shahidi wearing Fendi

Despite Yara Shahidi being just 18 years old, she’s shown great maturity in both her acting career and her red carpet appearances. Shahidi, a SAG ambassador, wore a sequined, baby pink Fendi catsuit beneath a matching sheer tulle dress. While her look was definitely daring compared to the other attendees, her creativity paid off as she looked refined and original. Her unconventional outfit was easily one of the most eye-catching of the night.

Rachel Brosnahan wearing Dior Haute Couture

Though Rachel Brosnahan brings nothing but comedy to “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” she brought elegance, sophistication and style to last Sunday’s SAG Awards. Before winning outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series, Brosnahan arrived at the red carpet in a graceful grey-blue dress by Dior as well as Irene Neuwirth statement earrings. She completed the feminine look with a simple hairstyle and dramatic eye makeup. The polished outfit made her a clear winner in our book!

Michael B. Jordan wearing Louis Vuitton

Michael B. Jordan decided to follow the trend of bold menswear on the red carpet, and it certainly paid off. The “Black Panther” star wore a Louis Vuitton harness that was detailed with the brand’s signature monogram symbols and bright pink and purple hues. This was juxtaposed with his polished, dark navy suit and simple black shoes. Jordan’s look was perfectly put-together, making him a clear choice for our best-dressed list.

Emma Stone wearing Louis Vuitton

While Emma Stone was nominated for two awards at this year’s SAG Awards, her red carpet look stole the show. Stone opted to wear a structured, gold and black Louis Vuitton pantsuit. She contrasted the beaded, asymmetrical top and signature bold red lip with sleek black pants and tied-back hair. Stone’s elegant yet edgy look secured her an obvious spot on our list.

Chadwick Boseman wearing Ermenegildo Zegna

Chadwick Boseman and rest of the “Black Panther” cast won big at the awards, but his stylish Ermenegildo Zegna suit won on the red carpet. Boseman wore a brown, printed jacket that was embellished with three Tiffany brooches. He kept the rest of his look simple, opting for a black turtleneck, matching pants and shoes. The cohesive outfit was definitely one of the best looks of the night.

Lily Tomlin wearing Ralph Lauren, and Jane Fonda wearing Valentino

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are some of the funniest co-stars on television, and it’s clear that their chemistry goes beyond their roles on “Grace and Frankie.” The seasoned stars walked the red carpet together in matching sequined looks — Tomlin in a black Ralph Lauren blazer, and Fonda wearing a long, red Valentino gown. They topped off their looks with matching curled hair and a powerful stance. How could we not put such a charming pair on our best-dressed list?
