A sexual assault occurred southeast of Stephens Hall near Strawberry Creek on Sunday at approximately 10:50 a.m., according to a community alert released by UCPD on Monday afternoon.
The assault was reported to UCPD about 11:50 a.m. Sunday and is still under investigation. The male suspect was known by the female survivor, and neither is affiliated with the campus, according to the alert.
UCPD said in the alert that anyone with information about this crime should call the department Criminal Investigations Bureau during business hours at 510-642-0472.
