Berkeley police search for suspects after series of thefts at Apple Store

Berkeley Police Department has identified three suspects after a string of thefts from the Fourth Street Apple Store and is requesting community assistance in locating the suspects, according to a Nixle alert released Thursday afternoon.

Based on video surveillance in the area, police connected the three suspects to four separate incidents of thefts at the store, according to the alert.

The first two incidents of theft occurred March 28, when at 10:05 a.m., there was a theft totaling a $1,200 loss and at 3:16 p.m., three laptops were stolen. A third theft totaling $15,ooo in value occurred Monday at 7:33 p.m., and the latest theft Tuesday amounted to a $5,000 loss.

BPD is asking anyone with information on these incidents to contact the Property Crimes Unit at (510) 981-5737.
