Laptop theft occurs at Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union

UCPD received a call about 12:30 p.m. Friday reporting that a theft had occurred in the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union on Thursday, according to UCPD spokesperson Sgt. Thomas Wing.

Wing said a witness reported that they were studying in the building when they saw somebody steal a laptop. According to the UCPD crime log for Thursday, the laptop was a silver MacBook Pro.

According to Wing, there was one “juvenile” suspect, with three additional suspects surrounding them. The Thursday crime log details that the first suspect was high school-aged and wearing a white sweatshirt and blue jeans. The log said the second suspect was wearing a red sweatshirt and black jeans, and the third suspect, identified as a teen, was wearing a red hoodie.
