Marcus Bagley, a class of 2020 four-star forward, has listed Cal men’s basketball, Arizona and Arizona State as the top three programs he is considering attending, he announced Saturday via Twitter.

Bagley, the brother of Marvin Bagley III, is ranked the 50th-best player in the nation, according to 247Sports.

Marcus Bagley currently plays for Sheldon High School in Sacramento, California, giving Cal the geographical edge over Arizona and Arizona State. Should Bagley choose Cal, he’d remain close to his brother, who plays for the Sacramento Kings and was named to the 2019 NBA All-Rookie First Team.

While Marcus Bagley currently lives in California, he does have ties to Arizona. In addition to having previously lived in Arizona, Bagley’s grandfather, Joe Caldwell, set the scoring record for Arizona State and had his jersey number retired by the university. Bagley’s father, Marvin Bagley Jr., played for the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League as well.
