Three individuals were arrested Saturday for allegedly carrying concealed firearms, according to an email from Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Officer Byron White.

At 12:33 a.m., around Telegraph Avenue and Parker Street, a police officer found a loaded handgun in the passenger area of a vehicle. The vehicle was searched after the officer saw an open container of alcohol inside, White said in the email. The officer arrested both the driver and the passenger — Dalya Rachelle Jones, 32, and Zaire Marie Johnson, 34 — on suspicion of carrying a loaded, concealed and unregistered firearm, according to White.

Later that morning, at 10:06 a.m., officers arrived at the 2000 block of Parker Street in response to a report that a person was threatening his partner with a gun. Julius Thomas Baham, 28, was subsequently located and arrested nearby “on suspicion of criminal threats, carrying a concealed firearm and possession of a controlled substance for sale,” White said in the email.
