Cal men’s basketball officially begins a new era under newly appointed head coach Mark Fox on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. against Pepperdine University. This season’s schedule includes 31 games, with 18 against Pac-12 foes.
The Bears will begin the season with an exhibition game against St. Martin’s, followed by a pair of home games against Pepperdine and UNLV. The Bears then enter the 2K Empire Classic tournament in the regional round against California Baptist and Prairie View A&M in Berkeley, before traveling to Madison Square Garden to play Duke and either Texas or Georgetown in the next round. Both of the games at Madison Square Garden will be broadcast across the ESPN networks.
Pac-12 conference play will begin at Stanford on Jan. 2 at 8 p.m., and Cal will travel to USC and UCLA and host Arizona and Arizona State in their only matchups this season due to conference rotation.
The Pac-12 tournament is scheduled to begin March 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, just four days after Cal’s last regular season game at Oregon State.
This year, eight Cal games are slated to be broadcast on ESPN or Fox Sports, down from 10 last year, and the rest will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.
