On Thursday evening about 7:25 p.m., the Berkeley Police Department, or BPD, responded to several calls that detailed gunshots in the San Pablo neighborhood of South Berkeley.

When BPD reached the area, more specifically around Russell and Acton streets, officers found “several casings,” according to BPD Lt. Dave Lindenau.

BPD did not find any victims in the area and took its caution tape down about 8:45 p.m.
