San Pablo Avenue opens after closure prompted by gas leak

The 2700 block of San Pablo Avenue has been opened after it closed for about an hour due to a gas line leak.

All vehicle and pedestrian traffic is prohibited while the Berkeley Fire Department investigates, according to a Berkeley Police Department Nixle alert sent at about 11:45 a.m.

BPD sent a second Nixle alert at about 12:50 p.m. saying the road is now open.
