Missing person reported near North Berkeley BART station

About 12:45 p.m. Thursday, the Berkeley Police Department reported Berkeley resident Carolyn Strand missing around the 1800 block of Acton Street.

According to the BPD Nixle alert, Strand is a white female, about 5 feet and 9 inches tall, with a small build and brown shoulder-length hair. Strand was last seen wearing a blue shirt and a black or brown purse about 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

The alert also said Strand has dementia and a heart condition.

BPD urges community members to contact the nearest police agency if someone matching Strand’s description is located.
