A power outage hit Berkeley on Saturday afternoon, affecting a part of the city near the north side of the UC Berkeley campus, according to PG&E spokesperson J.D. Guidi.
According to Guidi, the outage initially affected 1,129 PG&E customers and has now been reduced to 442 customers, as of 6 p.m. The cause of the outage is still under investigation, and PG&E has assigned a crew to assess the outage.
“We don’t have an estimate for restoration as we haven’t confirmed the cause of the outage,” Guidi said.
Guidi added that he does not have a parameter of the outage.
