Car crashes into homeless encampment, no injuries

A 67-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle March 3 at about 1:10 p.m., crashing into a tent at the “Here There” encampment located on Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Adeline Street.

According to Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Officer Byron White, no one was injured in the collision, although the driver, who is an Oakland resident, was transported to the hospital for a pre-existing medical condition.

White added that the driver gave her information to the owner of the tent.
