You’ve probably been stuck in your house for a few weeks now. This “new normal” straight up sucks. To cope, you’ve probably been rotating between playing Animal Crossing and looking at quarantine memes in the new Facebook group. There’s nothing wrong with that during such a stressful time like this, but if you find yourself getting bored, take this quiz to find out how to shake up your quaran(rou)tine!

  1. What time do you go to sleep? 
    1. Usually between 11 p.m. and midnight.
    2. Around 1-3 a.m.
    3. Sleep? I don’t know her.
    4. Between 9 and 10 p.m.
  2. Do you like exercising? 
    1. I won’t exercise unless I’m held at gunpoint.
    2. Yes! My body is a temple!
    3. Ehhh, I don’t love or hate it, but I won’t do it unless a friend wants to.
    4. I’d say I’m a weekly hiker.
  3. Do you wear pants to your online Zoom classes?
    1. Heck no! My house, my rules, baby.
    2. Of course… I’m scared that everyone will see me in my underwear even though my camera is turned off.
    3. Wait, what? Does this mean people went to in-person classes wearing pants?
    4. Pants? I don’t even get out of bed.
  4. What do you eat for lunch?
    1. Frozen meals all the way.
    2. I cook all of my meals now. Lunch is a five-course excursion.
    3. Leftovers. They’ve been sitting there for a few days, but I would hate to waste food.
    4. I don’t eat lunch. By the time I wake up, it’s already dinnertime. Yes, I’m a night owl.

    1. “Elite.” I live for the drama.
    2. “The Office.”
    3. “Stranger Things.” It’s strange times.
    4. Anything home improvement.
  6. What is your at-home drink of choice?
    1. Coffee still keeping me wired.
    2. H2O only.
    3. Smoothies — gotta stay fresh.
    4. There’s nothing better than a Coke.
    1. You should video chat with a friend! The new mantra is “social distancing, not social isolation.” Virtual communication will never replace some good old-fashioned face-to-face interaction, but it will have to do for now. Call them up and reminisce about all the things you miss in Berkeley!
    2. You should try yoga! If you have internet access, there are so many free beginner yoga videos on YouTube. Take a few minutes to stretch your body, clear your head and relax. You’ll thank yourself later. 
    3. You should go through your closet and make a pile of clothes you want to donate! Now that you have to be at home, it’s a perfect time to do some spring cleaning. Do it Marie Kondo-style: If a certain pair of jeans doesn’t bring you joy now, it probably never will.
    4. You should have a spa day! Sitting at home means you don’t have to look presentable. Not caring about how you look can be liberating, but sometimes you need a pick-me-up because how you look can affect how you feel. Spending some time sitting in a face mask or plucking your eyebrows is an excellent way to get out of the monotony and show yourself some love!
