In a campuswide email Wednesday, the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost released recommendations regarding the proctoring of finals under shelter-in-place orders.

The recommendations came after a 21-person working group composed of faculty and staff was tasked with examining strategies for remote exams, developing principles for procuring remote proctoring services and assessing products for the campus, according to the email.

After beginning in early April, the group published its report Monday and it has since then been posted on campus’s Academic Senate website and its Instructional Resilience website.

“We strongly encourage instructors and students to read the report, and hope that these guidelines and recommendations will help you prepare for a successful final examination period and the end of the academic year,” the email reads.
