Campus announced Wednesday an extension of the cancellation or postponement of all campus-sponsored events through June and July.

The decision was made in light of the fact that public health authorities will probably not allow such events in the near future, according to the announcement from Vice Chancellor for Administration Marc Fisher. The extension will apply to both departmental and administrative events that were to be held on campus property.

The extension does not apply to private events taking place in campus facilities, events put on by Registered Student Organizations and events produced by campus groups that are held off campus — although those events might be unlawful in light of the shelter-in-place order, the announcement notes.
