Gas leak reported on San Pablo Avenue

Berkeley Fire Department reported a gas leak on San Pablo Avenue on Friday around 10:20 a.m.

The leak, which was located near Ashby Avenue, was caused by construction, according to a Nixle alert. The Fire Department is advising people to avoid the area and expect traffic delays.

The Fire Department announced just after 11 a.m. that PG&E had secured the gas leak, and the roadway was reopened.
