A man was robbed and punched in the throat June 13 around 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Allston Way and San Pablo Avenue in what was one of several street robberies that occurred this month.
Witnesses described the suspects involved to be a Black man in his 30s and a white or Hispanic male, both wearing dark clothing. The suspects’ vehicle is a white midsize sedan.
The two men first tried to rob a different man, who was walking when he was confronted by the suspects emerging from a parked vehicle. The first man ran away, which then allowed the suspects to steal the cellphone of the man they punched in the throat, according to an email from the Berkeley Police Department.
