Berkeley’s July 4 festival and fireworks show, held annually at the Berkeley Waterfront, has been canceled due to COVID-19.

According to a press release from the city, Berkeley residents are urged to avoid both fireworks and social gatherings with those outside their “social bubble” July 4. Residents should also socially distance if they choose to visit the waterfront and wear a face covering, the press release stated.
