The Lawrence Hall of Science will remain closed to the public until June 2021 to ensure a safe reopening with hands-on, engaging visitor experiences.
According to a Lawrence Hall of Science press release, during the building closure, the facility will be upgraded. These improvements include boosting connectivity, “refreshing” public spaces and developing new exhibits and activities, including a new Outdoor Nature Lab.
While the building will remain closed, Lawrence Hall of Science is offering outdoor, pop-up science community learning activities, free online videos and distance STEM learning opportunities for youth.
