Oakland resident charged with multiple counts of burglary

Using DNA from the scene of a burglary at Anthony’s Cookies, the Berkeley Police Department linked the suspect to a number of other burglaries.

The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged a 66-year-old Oakland resident with multiple counts of burglary July 6.

The suspect allegedly burglarized Anthony’s Cookies on June 5 at 3:28 a.m. After matching DNA from the scene, Berkeley Police Department detectives were able to link the suspect, who was already in custody for another offense, to several other burglaries.
