Man injured after being hit by gunfire in South Berkeley

A 26-year-old Oakland resident was injured by gunfire in the area of California and Harmon streets Tuesday.

Berkeley Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire Tuesday around 10:28 p.m. in the area of California and Harmon streets.

BPD officers found evidence of gunfire on the street. One individual and a parked vehicle were hit by the gunfire.

The individual who was struck, a 26-year-old man from Oakland, arrived at the hospital shortly after reports of gunfire were made, and is expected to recover.
