High fire danger warning issued for Berkeley Hills

The National Weather Service has issued a “Red Flag Warning” for the Berkeley Hills area between 5 a.m. Sunday and 5 p.m. Monday.

The warning was issued as a result of high fire danger in the area, according to the emergency alert. The alert also prompted residents to use “extreme caution” when operating power equipment and other heat sources.

“Berkeley hills residents in particular should prepare for by signing up for alerts, reviewing evacuation routes and parking off street when possible,” the alert states.
