Suspect charged in connection to death of UC Berkeley student Seth Smith

Four days after his arrest, suspect Tony Walker has been charged for the murder of UC Berkeley student Seth Smith.

The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has charged suspect Tony Walker, 60, for the murder of UC Berkeley student Seth Smith, according to a Berkeley Police Department press release.

This charge comes four days after Walker’s arrest at his residence Aug. 20 and two months after Smith was found unresponsive and bleeding on Dwight Way by Valley Street.

“This case remains under investigation and we appreciate the public’s support and patience during this investigation,” the press release states.
