An air quality alert was extended through Friday by Bay Area Air Quality Management District in light of poor air quality throughout Alameda County.

The alert notes that the “unhealthy” and “very unhealthy” air classifications indicate people should stay inside with their windows and doors closed. Additionally, the alert recommended that those who cannot stay inside use N95 masks to protect themselves.
