The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged 28-year-old Britoria Stanley after their alleged robbery and assault of a UC Berkeley student on campus Sept. 7, according to a UCPD community advisory sent Wednesday.
The robbery occurred near the Valley Life Sciences Building around 3:45 p.m. UCPD arrived to find the student bleeding from a laceration to the head after reportedly being hit with an object while being robbed of their cell phone, according to the community advisory. The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for their injuries.
UCPD detained and arrested the suspect in the 2100 block of Center Street, recovering the student’s cell phone in the process, the community advisory reads.
Stanley was charged Sept. 8 with robbery and assault with a deadly weapon, according to the community advisory.
