The Haas School of Business announced Tuesday it will allow undergraduate students to take one upper division business course, one core substitute or one Haas prerequisite pass/no pass during each semester remote instruction continues.

This comes in response to increased stress students may be facing, according to an email announcement by Erika Walker, assistant dean of undergraduate programs, and Jay Stowsky, senior assistant dean for instruction.

“We believe this approach best balances our concern for your mental and emotional health at this extraordinarily stressful time with our equal concern for academic excellence and the long-term value of your Haas degree,” Walker and Stowsky said in the email.

Undergraduate students will be able to change their grading option for classes until Dec. 3, according to the announcement. In addition, there is no maximum mean GPA requirement for courses.
