Berkeley Police Department arrested two suspects in possession of a loaded handgun Wednesday during a traffic stop.
During the stop, which occurred at 3:11 a.m., the driver, a 24-year-old Oakland man, was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant and suspended driver’s license. While searching the vehicle, BPD officers found a loaded handgun and a high-capacity magazine in the car.
Both the driver and the passenger in the vehicle, a 21-year-old Berkeley woman, were arrested on suspicion of multiple weapon-related offenses.
