Berkeley Police Department arrested two individuals Tuesday on suspicion of being felons in possession of loaded and concealed firearms in the area of Adeline Street and Stanford Avenue.

After a traffic enforcement stop, officers searched the vehicle and found loaded handguns in the front passenger seat and the trunk of the car, according to a BPD Nixle alert. The two men arrested are from San Lorenzo and Oakland.

“When officers asked the passenger to step out of the vehicle, a bottle of Patron tequila fell out of the vehicle (…awkward),” the alert states.
