During a traffic stop Jan. 14, Berkeley Police Department officers arrested three men on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale and carrying loaded and concealed handguns, among other offenses.
While patrolling the area of San Pablo Avenue and Cedar Street at 10:22 p.m., the officers stopped a vehicle with expired registration and had the three occupants exit the vehicle, according to a BPD Nixle alert. One of the men had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, the alert added.
The officers found 4.87 pounds of marijuana, 2.33 grams of oxycodone, packaging materials, three loaded handguns and more than $2,100 in cash after conducting a search of the vehicle, according to the alert.
