Cal will no longer play Washington State in Pullman on Friday due to COVID-19 developments within the WSU program. After team activities were put on pause March 2, Washington State canceled two games earlier this month against Arizona and Arizona State. The Cal game cancellation is the program’s third of the season.

The last time the Cougars played was at their home stadium, Lower Soccer Field, Feb. 28. Currently, they hold an overall record of 4-0-1, with their four wins coming against Seattle, Eastern Washington, Idaho and Utah.

Meanwhile, No. 24 Cal sits at an overall record of 3-1-0, good for the fourth spot in the Pac-12. In their first two home games of the season, the Bears broke even after losing to Colorado 2-1 Friday and shutting out Utah 1-0 Sunday. The blue and gold’s next match is against the No. 22 Washington Huskies and will take place at Husky Soccer Stadium on Sunday, March 14, at 2 p.m.
