Bullet shell casings found on 600 block of University Avenue

According to Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Byron White, BPD officers found bullet shell casings on the 600 block of University Avenue on Saturday. He added that no one has reported being struck by gunfire as of press time.

At 12:21 p.m., BPD officers received a report of gunfire in the area and found the bullet casings on the ground after responding, according to BPD spokesperson Byron White. Officers noted that some property in the encampment had been damaged by gunfire, White added.

As of press time, no one has reported being struck by gunfire, according to White.
