Two suspects were allegedly involved in an attempted robbery with a handgun on the corner of College Avenue and Channing Way by Unit 1 on Tuesday.

At 3:50 p.m., the suspects approached two men on the street in a silver pickup truck, according to Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Officer Byron White. The passenger of the vehicle allegedly demanded the men’s belongings after pointing a handgun at them, White added.

The two suspects, described as Hispanic men in their 20s or 30s, fled eastbound on College Avenue after the two men did not react “in a state of fear,” according to White.
