In connection to a highway shooting that had occurred before his accident, Edward was also charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm from a vehicle and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, according to an article from The Associated Press.

At the time of the accident, Edward had been a passenger in a black 2016 Acura, the car being driven by a 40-year-old named Nichoel Davis. According to the article, Nevada Highway Patrol noted that the car had been traveling westbound at a high speed when it attempted to pass a tractor-trailer. Making contact with the truck, the Acura overturned and struck another vehicle.

The article from the AP noted that Davis was killed in the crash Friday at 6:30 a.m.

At the time of the accident, first responders were already responding to a call about shots being fired at a pickup truck, the article notes.
