24 Cal football players out against Arizona due to COVID-19

24 Cal players as well as five coaches are out of action for the Bears against Arizona due to COVID-19 protocols, including starting quarterback Chase Garbers. Backup quarterback Ryan Glover, a graduate transfer from Western Carolina, has started in his place.

Left tackle Will Craig, left guard Ben Coleman and center Matthew Cindric –– all starters this season –– will also be sidelined. Redshirt sophomore LT Brayden Rohme, sophomore LG Everett Johnson and freshman center Bastian Swinney will start in their place.

Absences on defense include linebacker Femi Oladejo, defensive end Luc Bequette and cornerback Collin Gamble.
