Over the weekend, three-star wide receiver Mason Starling announced his commitment to Cal football via Twitter.

The 6’4” Tacoma local boasted offers from the likes of Nevada, Arizona and Tennessee. In 10 games played with the College of San Mateo football since Sept. 7, Starling amassed 441 total yards and six touchdowns. Known for his height and gifted speed, the junior college prospect will likely help mentor the Bears’ newest incoming class of wide receivers. His announcement follows the recent intended departures of standout wide receivers Nikko Remigio and Trevon Clark.

Before Ashton Hayes’ commitment to Cal football Dec. 13, Starling was the 11th player to commit to the Bears.
