In hopes of transitioning into a safe semester, UC Berkeley will be providing all campus residents with a COVID-19 rapid-test kit.

According to the email, students living in campus apartments will find their test kits at their respective front desks. Students in residence halls will find their test kits in their rooms.

“All students living in residence halls will be required to complete this rapid test within the first hour of arrival and fill out an online attestation form confirming you have taken the test,” the campus email states.

Along with the rapid-test kit, students are also required to take a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction, or PCR, lab test at University Health Services upon arrival.
