Alameda County Superior Court to reopen courtrooms to public

The Superior Court of Alameda County will be reopening for court proceedings open to the public April 25.

Two years, one month and 11 days after the Superior Court of Alameda County announced it would be closing its courtrooms because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the court will reopen its doors April 25 for proceedings open to the general public.

According to a press release from the Superior Court of Alameda County, the reopening process will occur on a rolling basis, depending upon the available resources. Furthermore, face coverings will still be required in court, and spectators are encouraged to maintain social distancing, the release added.
