UC Berkeley Bear Transit will begin updated night and daytime routes ahead of the fall 2022 semester, according to the campus parking and transportation website.

Beginning Aug. 21, the daytime C line — which runs through central campus — will be reinstated for both morning and afternoon services, whereas the P, R and H lines will have additional stops noted in the system map. The night safety routes for both north and south of campus will run at 30-minute intervals from approximately 7:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. from Monday to Friday, and 6:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. on the weekends.

The Night Safety North line will be reinstated after two years of suspension and operate every 30 minutes with a route and schedule available on the Bear Transit website.

As for the Night Safety South line, last stops at highly frequented sites on the east side of campus — including the International House, Haas campus and Greek Theatre — will hover between approximately 2:49-2:54 a.m. as “drop-off only” sites. On Saturdays and Sundays, the last pick-up time from Moffitt Library will be at 3:00 a.m., with last stops at these sites as “drop-off only” sites ranging from 3:20 a.m. to 3:26 a.m.
